Parrish

My name is Parrish Evans. I live on the 500 acre "Living Waters Ranch" in southwest MO with Patricia Starr, my fiance. We have cattle and chickens, geese and peacocks. Our dogs live with us and grow up in a way that they are being trained every day without them even knowing they are being worked. They learn they are not allowed to eat the chickens. They cannot chase the cows but are allowed to keep them away from the fence; if a cow tries to eat a blueberry bush next to the fence the dogs are allowed to use full force to protect those plants. They swim in En-Gedi Springs here on the property, then learn they are to dry completely before thay are allowed back in the house. These may not seem like big things, but if you have ever had a high-powered dog you know that they can be a problem just as much as they can be a help. We try to show them they must coexist with other animals in some areas but are allowed to get physical with others to protect property. You want to be able to take them to the pet store or Vet without any problems, but at the same time you don't want other animals to be allowed to damage your property. These are small things that all add up to having a perfect pet and guardian. The dogs have to learn the small nuances of social behavior before they can be trusted to protect you and your family without causing you damage with their behavior.

Patricia

Patricia handles most of the interaction with prospective puppy purchasers, and she is as sweet as I am sour. I am usually kept far away from potential buyers, out of sight of decent folk. You can reach me only if Patricia finds it is important enough to go past her, but I urge you to try to keep most of the business related issues with her if you really want a dog. My biggest problem is that I love these dogs so much, I don't want to sell any of them and will find any small reason to misjudge you just to avoid parting with one. I love my dogs to a fault, so if you want to be a part of what I am doing here then please avoid contact with me until you already have bought one. I usually just can't bear the thought of parting with one, and will probably rather run you off!

We raise our dogs ourselves, but also under the direction of trainer Russ Osburn. Russ is the regional Schutzhund director for this area, and is considered one of the best trainers in the world.
